Tip of the Week: Countering the Attack to the Backhand

Do you ever have trouble countering an attack to your weaker backhand side? It’s a common problem amongst juniors and adults alike. Here are five tactics you can use to counter an attack to your backhand.

  1. Be conservative. Don’t try to do too much and just play neutral.
  2. Run around your backhand and turn it in to a forehand return.
  3. Get to the net.
  4. Attack the second serve.
  5. Lob.
